Cuyahoga County Public Library offers a variety of document services to meet your needs, including photocopying, printing, scanning, faxing and mobile printing. Document services are available during our regular hours of operation.
Copy/print
Every Cuyahoga County Public Library branch has at least one coin-operated multi-function copy machine for public use. Black and white is the default print setting, but color printing is available.
Printing documents at CCPL branches will be more convenient than ever.

Please note that pricing is no longer per sheet of paper and is per page printed. Duplex prints count as two pages.

Copyright restriction
We reserve the right to refuse a copy order if fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs making photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of the conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction will not be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Don't worry, your print credits are still available. To use them you'll need to enter your library card number and PIN/password. Once you have used all of your remaining credits you'll be able to pay for any printing that exceeds the $1.00 daily allowance on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Please note: usernames are not supported to access existing print credits. You'll need to enter your exact library card number to use your credits.
If you do not need to access an existing credit balance you may use your library card number or username and your PIN/password.
You have some options.
- If you know your Username and PIN/password you can log into your library account and click My Library Card, or download the free CCPL app and tap My Card to access your library card number.
- If you don't know your Username you can visit the circulation desk at your local branch for assistance. You will be asked to provide identification. We recommend calling ahead to confirm acceptable forms of identification.
- If all else fails, guest passes are available. However, when you use a guest pass you will not be able to access any credits you may have in your account.
- If you can't remember your PIN/password you can reset it by email, but this feature will only work if you have a current email address saved in your library account. If you aren't able to reset your PIN/password by email, visit the circulation desk for help. You will be asked to provide identification. We recommend calling ahead to confirm acceptable forms of identification.
- If all else fails, guest passes are available. When you use a guest pass you will not be able to access any credits you have on your account.
CCPL is providing $1.00 of free printing per day, per user. To access your free prints, you'll need to enter your library card number or username and your PIN/password.
Any print jobs that exceed the $1.00 allowance will be charged as follows:
- Black and white — 10¢ per page
- Color — 25¢ per page
Some of our customers need to print large documents, but most just need to print a few pages. We are making this change to remove barriers and make our printers more accessible, while at the same time improving the user experience by shortening wait times and making our printers easier to use.
Fax/scan
Self-service faxing and scanning is available at all of our branches, free of charge.
- Faxing to international telephone numbers is not available.
- You cannot receive faxes at our branches, our machines do not accept fax replies.
- Scanned documents can be saved directly to either a USB drive or sent to an email address. There is no charge for this service.
Mobile Printing
Print Word documents, PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, popular image formats and other files from anywhere using your phone or device.
All mobile print jobs are deleted 24 hours after being submitted.
Instructions
Print from a PC
- Go to the website ccplprint.org.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to submit your job.
- Provide an email address where you would like to receive your confirmation.
- Once your job is submitted, you will receive a release code either through email or text or both.
- Visit any CCPL branch and tap the Mobile Print button on any copy machine coinbox.
- Enter your release code on the coinbox and pay for your prints with cash or credit card.
- Tap logout on the coinbox when you are finished.
Print via email
- Email the document you would like to print to:

- Once your print job is submitted, you will receive a release code via email.
- Visit any CCPL branch and tap the Mobile Print button on any copy machine coinbox.
- Enter your release code on the coinbox and pay for your prints with cash or credit card.
- Press logout on the coinbox when finished.
Microform Readers
Microform readers are available at select branches. Our microform readers give you the option to scan microfilms onto flash drives.
Office Supplies
Commonly used office supplies are available for purchase at the check out desks in our branches. Items available for purchase include:
- Ear buds
- Envelopes
- Flash Drives
- Head phones
- Pens, pencils and highlighters
- Phone charging cables
- RTA bus passes
- U.S. postage stamps
