FAQs

  • Registration is required to participate in the Adventure Begins at Your Library summer reading challenge. There are three ways to register:

    1. Register online through Beanstack. Pre-registration begins May 1, 2024. If you already have a Beanstack account, there's no need to create a new one. Simply log in to your existing account to access the program.
    2. Visit your local branch to register in person and play offline on a printed gameboard.
    3. Download the free Beanstack Tracker app from the App Store or Google Play and search for "Cuyahoga County Public Library" as your site.

  • Players earn midpoint, completion and grand prize raffle entries by tracking their reading activity online or offline.

    Experts recommend 20 minutes of reading each day, but you can set a daily reading goal that works for you. Log your reading online or on your printed gameboard for every day you meet your daily reading goal. Visit your local CCPL branch to collect your prizes.

    • When you reach 5 days of meeting your daily reading goal, you win a mid-point prize.
    • When you reach 10 days of meeting your daily reading goal, you win a completion prize and an entry into the grand prize raffle.
    • Choose your own reading adventure. You can read books, eBooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, or play literacy games. Every format counts!
    • You can keep track of your reading all summer and collect as many gameboards as you like, but there is a limit of 5 mid-point and completion prizes per participant.
    • Attend 5 library programs this summer and log them on your gameboard to earn a bonus grand prize entry.

    All participants can begin tracking their activity when the summer reading challenge begins on Saturday, June 1.

  • A grand prize raffle will be held at the conclusion of the Adventure Begins at Your Library summer reading challenge. Participants can enter their grand prize entries into one of 3 prize buckets: Cool Item, Memorable Experience, or Surprise Me!
