The size of SumBlox building blocks is reflective of its numerical value (example: the number block 9 is equal in height to that of stacked number blocks 8 and 1 or 4 and 5 etc.) Seeing the mathematical problems take physical shape helps children learn a wide range of mathematical skills through play; from putting the numbers in order, utilizing the graduated sizing, to more complex operations. Equally challenging as well as entertaining are the free-form structures that can be made with the blocks.
