Log into your library account and update your Messaging Settings to sign up for text, phone or email courtesy notices.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • There is no fee to sign up for text message courtesy notices, but your cell phone plan’s regular text messaging rates still apply. Please contact your cell phone service provider for rate information.

  • Texts will be sent only when activity on your account triggers a message.

  • Our text messaging service allows you to renew items and control other aspects of your library account by texting keywords to 1.216.600.0080.

    • RA - Renews all items on your account that are eligible for renewal.
    • ROA - Renew overdue items on your account.
    • HELP - Responds with a list of all available keywords and what they do.
    • HL - Responds with a list of items you have on hold.
    • IOWE - Responds with a list of fines and fees on your account.
    • LANGUAGES - Responds with a list of all available languages.
    • MYITEMS - Responds with a list all of the items you currently have checked out.
    • OL - Responds with a list of all overdue items you have checked out to your library account.
    • SWITCHPHONE - Use this keyword to change the phone number where you want to receive text messages.
  • You can cancel courtesy notices any time by changing the Messaging Settings in your library account.
