APPLY IN PERSON
Cuyahoga County Public Library card applications are available at all 27 branch locations and our MetroHealth Service Point. Customers who successfully apply in person receive full access to our physical collection, Digital Collection and Electronic Resources. Learn more.

APPLY ONLINE
Please read and agree to the requirements and guidelines below, then submit your completed online application for processing. Once you have successfully completed your online application you will receive a temporary electronic card that will allow you to access our Digital Collection and Electronic Resources. You will not be able to place holds, request or borrow items from our physical collection until you validate your library account in person at your local branch – valid ID required. Learn more.

Requirements/Guidelines for Online Application:
• Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of Ohio.
• A valid email address is required.
• Online applications are for personal-use cards only.
• Applications with duplicate, incorrect or incomplete information will not be processed.

FORGOT YOUR PIN?
If you have your email address on file in your library account you can use our reset tool. If you don’t have an email address on file, contact your local branch for assistance.

LOST CARD?
If you wish to replace an existing, lost, stolen or expired card, or you’d like to update your account info or Card Style, please visit a convenient branch location.

EDUCATOR & INSTITUTION CARDS Educator and Institution Cards with special borrowing privileges are also available for those who qualify. Applications for Educator and Institution cards can be made in person only at any Cuyahoga County Public Library branch. Learn more.
