Sunday April 8th – Saturday, April 14th

Bring your completed Vote by Mail application to any CCPL branch during regular library hours during Vote by Mail Week and save a stamp.

Vote by Mail Application

Vote by Mail ballot applications are available at all CCPL branches. Once registered, all voters can Vote by Mail. You can also request a vote-by-mail application.  Applications can also be obtained through the Board of Elections website, by calling the Board of Elections at 216.443.8683, or by visiting the Board of Elections at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.  Voter registration forms are also available at all CCPL locations.

Voters should check their voting information prior to each election. Voters may confirm their wards, precincts and voting locations at the
Board of Elections website or by calling 216.443.8683.

Please note:
The libraries cannot accept absentee ballots themselves. Absentee ballots can be mailed by the voter via the US Postal Service or dropped off at the  Board of Elections at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.


Early Voting

All 88 Ohio county boards of election offer the same early, in-person voting hours. During the early voting period, voters cast absentee ballots at county boards of election offices (Board of Elections at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland).   • 8 AM to 5 PM – weekdays from April 10 through April 27
  • 8 AM to 7 PM – Monday through Friday, April 30-May 4
  • 8 AM to 4 PM – Saturday, May 5
  • 1 to 5 PM – Sunday, May 6
  • 8 AM to 2 PM – Monday, May 7

Online Voter Registration

Ohio’s new online system makes registering to vote easier than ever. Monday April 9, 2018 was the last day to register to be able to vote in the May 8th primary election. Check back later this summer for information about the next General Election. Learn more.
