Meet Author Van Jones

Van Jones is a CNN political contributor and host of the reoccurring primetime special The Messy Truth with Van Jones. A graduate of the University of Tennessee and Yale Law School, Jones was a special adviser to the Obama White House and is, as well, the author of two New York Times bestsellers – The Green Collar Economy and Rebuild the Dream. Jones has been honored with numerous awards and spotlighted on several lists of high achievers including Rolling Stone’s "12 Leaders Who Get Things Done," Fast Company’s "12 Most Creative Minds on Earth," and Time’s "100 Most Influential People in the World."

His new book, Beyond the Messy Truth: How We Came Apart, How We Come Together, is a passionate manifesto that exposes hypocrisy on both sides of the political divide and points a way out of the tribalism that is tearing America apart.

Each ticket includes a seat at the author’s talk, a pre-signed copy of Beyond the Messy Truth, and a donation to the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation.
