Cuyahoga County Public Library's Strongsville Branch undergoing renovation
Building improvements include addition of quiet study rooms and an audio-visual recording studio

Cuyahoga County Public Library’s (CCPL) Strongsville Branch is undergoing a $550,000 renovation project for building improvements and service enhancements. Completion of the project is anticipated for late September.

Strongsville residents have previously expressed their desire for a dedicated teen space and more areas for quiet study. The renovation project will enclose the Strongsville Branch teen space, creating a dedicated space where students may congregate after school, as well as six new quiet study rooms.

Other building improvements will include:

  • Addition of an audio and video recording studio for public use.
  • Replacement of furniture throughout the building.
  • Additional lighting.
  • Upgrade of audio visual equipment in the children’s storytime room.
The CCPL Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a resolution authorizing contracts for interior improvements at the Strongsville Branch during its March 28, 2017 meeting. The renovation project will not increase the footprint of the Strongsville Branch. The branch will remain open for regular hours during the renovation.
