Cuyahoga County Public Library introduces Kanopy streaming movie collection 
The latest addition to CCPL's digital collection provides cardholders access to thousands of classic films, indie releases, and award-winning documentaries   

Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL) is pleased to present Kanopy, the exciting new streaming video collection recently profiled by The New York Times. Kanopy offers CCPL cardholders free access to thousands of films from The Criterion Collection, PBS, and independent filmmakers, including classic cinema, avant-garde, silent-era films, foreign language films, cult favorites, and award-winning documentaries. 
CCPL cardholders can stream Kanopy films through their computers, Roku boxes or iOS and Android devices at Once the viewer presses "play" on a given movie, they have three days to watch it as many times as they like, which uses up one play credit. Each CCPL cardholder may use up to 100 play credits per month
Kanopy is available as a free app for Roku, Android and iOS devices.  
The Kanopy collection is the latest addition to CCPL's streaming video offerings. CCPL also offers its cardholders access to the OverDrive collection of popular studio films, children's movies and fitness videos; and the Hoopla collection of popular studio films and TV shows.
