Our library offers FREE Summer Camps so youth of all ages can participate together in a constructive activity and develop literary and leadership skills.Registration is required for all camps.

Listed below roughly by starting age; be sure to check through the entire list. Registration is required for all of these FREE camps, but camp sizes are limited so be sure to register as soon as possible!
Grades K-4 Monday-Thursday sessions, 1:00-4:00 PM, select branches
This hands-on program turns a group of campers into its own “jug band.” Students each get a part in the band playing kazoos, boards, sticks, blocks, shakers and more. Students learn instrumental and vocal parts.
Junior Discovery Camp: Club Cuyahoga (age 7+8)
Monday-Thursday sessions, noon-4:00 PM, select branches
Interactive math, science, reading, art, and culture at the club.
Ages 8 - 10 4-day Lego camps, afternoons, select branches
Build and program a LEGO® Mindstorms™ robot to master challenges from Jeff Kinney’s popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Sorry! These camps are FULL.
Grades 3 - 5 Monday-Thursday sessions, 1:00-4:00 PM, select branches
Take a trip to the tropics through geography, science, art, and music— inspired by the “Carnival” world of color. Learn the cultures of the world through chalk street-painting, mask making, fabric design, or batik.
Ages 8-11 Monday-Friday sessions, 1:30 - 4:30 PM, select branches
Students will work with computer graphic techniques and animation fundamentals to design a basic computer video game. Sorry! These camps are FULL.
Arts Alive Camp: Club Cuyahoga (age 9+10)
Bring your drama to the Theatre, activate your Art and read, rap, and rhyme into Creative Writing. Led by Jim Chones and his imaginative teaching team.
Ages 9-13 Monday-Friday sessions, 1:00-4:00 PM, Solon Branch
Camp for video game design via a step-by-step process that involves introductory programming skills, computer science, and creativity.

Tween U Camp: Club Cuyahoga
Ages 11+12 Monday-Thursday sessions, noon-4:00 PM, select branches
Create a virtual world, animate it, create video games and an app! Math and science adventures.
Ages 11 - 13 4-day Lego camps, afternoons, select branches
Build and program a LEGO® Mindstorms™ robot to master other challenges in Rick Riordan’s popular Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. Make sure to attend all four days!
Ages 11-14 Monday-Thursday sessions, 1:00 - 4:00 PM, select branches
Explore techniques with the support of visual design professionals and learn how to write a better story. Meet author Shelley Pearsal.
Girls ages 11-14 Monday-Friday, 1-5 PM, select branches
This program is unique because it provides girls with the opportunity to connect with an adult mentor, develop financial skills, connect with peers, explore colleges, increase self-esteem, and learn about risky behaviors.
Ages 12 - 15 Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM Parma-South Branch

One-week camp investigating shipwrecks and marine archaeology technology. Take a Mindstorms robotics challenge. Real shipwreck explorers share their adventures.
11-18 years old 2-day camps, 9:30 AM-5:00 PM, select branches
A multi-disciplinary experience where students will produce original work (create a website, original electronic music, stop motion animated video). Please bring a brown bag lunch.
Ages 11 - 18 Monday-Friday, 1-4 PM, select branches
Develop your imagination, creativity and self- expression, and skills in team work and critical thinking. We’ll cover DJing, MCing (rapping), Dance, and Graffiti style art.
Work with a professional audio engineer and producer. Conduct an actual recording session; learn how to edit. Take home a CD of final product. Please bring a brown bag lunch.

Enhance your mixed media skills in digital animation, movie making, and custom digital art. We explore and design movie shorts for two intense days.
