Family Literacy Nights

Homework Center Guidelines
While in the Homework Center, students must be engaged in learning activities and follow the posted Library Rules of Conduct and Homework Center guidelines.
-
Students will follow a suggested schedule while in the Center that includes time working in three major areas:
-
Homework or reading/math assistance
-
20 minutes of reading practice
-
20 minutes of educational games or activities
-
Homework Center participation is limited to one session per day lasting one hour and fifteen minutes.
-
We can accommodate 25 students in each session.
-
Please make sure that parents/caregivers are here to pick up students at the end of their sessions or inform Center staff that a student is free to leave at the end of the session.
-
Students who stay home from school due to illness should not attend Homework Center that day.
-
Please check students’ homework when returning home.
-
There may be times when all homework does not get completed at the Center.
-
Throughout the school year, we will host events such as orientations, open houses, parties and other family evenings where parents/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
-
Homework Center staff will let you know in advance, whenever possible, of dates the Center will be closed.
Our goal is to partner with parents and caregivers to help young people experience school success!
