Sign up for text and/or email courtesy notices and we’ll send you a reminder to renew or return your library materials BEFORE they are due. We also offer holds pickup notices by phone.  

Text Message Notices

Keep track of your library account on your mobile phone using our Shoutbomb text messaging service. Sign up to receive texts when:

  • Items you requested are ready for pickup
  • Items you have borrowed are due soon
  • Items are overdue
NOTE: There is no fee to sign up for our text messaging service, but your mobile service provider’s regular text messaging rates apply.
 

How do I sign up?

If you've never received text message notices from the Library, use either option shown below —  by Text or using the Form.

Text Message Option

  1. Add the email address ccpltext@shoutbomb.com to your Contacts
  2. Text the word SIGNUP to the email address ccpltext@shoutbomb.com
  3. You will receive a reply from Shoutbomb requesting your library card number or username
  4. Text your library card number or username
  5. You will receive a reply from Shoutbomb requesting your Library PIN
  6. Text your Library PIN
TIP: You can combine these steps into a single text by using the plus sign between steps.  Example:
 SIGNUP+{Your Library Card Number}+{Your PIN}
 
Once your Shoutbomb registration has been completed, you will automatically get text notices about items available to pick up, items that are due soon, and overdue items. A text will be sent only when activity on your account triggers a message. You can also...

  • Renew your library items
  • See the status of all items checked out to your library account

Email & Phone Notices

To sign up for email or phone notices, login to your library account and click on “Edit Account.” Enter your email address or your phone number in the appropriate fields under “Contact Info.”

TIP: Add our email addresses to your “safe senders list” and your email contacts so your library notices don’t get blocked:

You can also update your email address using these steps if your email address changes.  Your email address will be used for library purposes only.

You can similarly update your phone number. If you opt to receive phone messages, you will receive calls when library items you have placed on hold are ready for pickup.
